Well, I know that I haven't written in a while, it's been a busy week. I'm going out of town next week, so it might be another blank week for the blog.
So, here's where I'm at so far. I've learned that my insurance does not cover lap bands- specifically! I don't know how it is that they can say they're all about preventative care if they won't cover any weight loss programs. I've also learned that the cost of surgery for a cash paying patient is about $15,300! OUCH! I know that I want the surgery, but since I haven't won the lottery, I'm not entirely sure how to make it happen. Hopefully I'll get an unexpected bonus from somewhere, or something.
In the meantime, I've been going around reading other people's blogs and seeing their transformations… some incredible before and after pix out there! When I get a chance I'll do a post with some links to some of the more inspirational blogs.
Anyway, I'm feeling a little bit discouraged at the moment. I'm not sure where I'm going to find the money, or how I can make this happen. Which makes me a little depressed, which makes me crave junk food and want to commit carbicide… you know how that cycle goes…
I did start an excersize thing- it's pretty cool- it's called "Chair Dancing" – no, not lap dancing, chair dancing. It's excersize- cardio, weights and stretching that you do while sitting in a chair. So no impact on the knees, but it really gets your heart going, and boy do you work up a sweat. It's kinda fun. There were a couple of things that were hard for me to do as my belly kept getting in the way, but overall I did allright.
Well, anyway, that's really all for this edition of my lap band journey. I'll try to keep logging in while I'm out of town, but no promises :-)
Again, please leave your comments, thoughts, inspiring stories, complaints, whatever is going on with you, I'd love to hear it!
